The Rusk Chamber of Commerce would like to extend an invitation to you and your families
to enjoy a county fair day as we celebrate our 15th Annual Pioneer Heritage Festival!
We are happy to announce that this years festival will be held at the
Civic Center, formally known to folks in this area as the Armory located at 555 Euclid Street.
Besides having the Pioneering Demonstrators, our Arts & Crafts Booths, a Food Court with mouth watering
turkey legs and sweet tooth funnel cakes, the Dulcimers have agreed to
perform during the day along with Payton Swift and other local talent.
Speaking of talent C&C Glamorous have agreed to do a Cowgirl/boy beauty
pageant. The pageant will be held inside the civic center
(armory) along with our 4th Annual "Quilt Show". This is the time to bring that
special quilt for those that want to show off their talent or the craft work of their ancestors. This year our
own Jo Caraway with
It's Sew Personal and San dra
Sanders, owner of the "Whistle Stop"
, have
joined together to make this quilt show one of the best in East Texas. Please
note that quilt vendors will not be allowed to set up in this area, they will
need to contact the chamber at 903-683-4242 for a booth application.
For those who enjoy making Jam and Jelly, the Good Samaritan's 4th Annual
Jam & Jelly Contest will be held at inside the armory. Entrance fee is FREE
and 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes will be awarded with "Gift Gas Cards"! To enter the Jam
& Jelly Contest, contact Wally Walker at 903-683-4228 or Kay "Baby" Epperson

The fun doesn't stop at the end of the day! Get ready for some
"boot scootin" as the chamber brings you
Pat Waters!. Sit back or ask your favorite gal to two-step to his "Right Where I Belong"
song along with
many
of his others. AND, as an added bonus the Chamber has invited
Chad Brock to
make a special appearance as he sings a couple of his widely acclaimed songs
"She Said Yes"
